Makes a big difference in your layouts! When I picked it up to journal on- I noticed that it just seemed too flat to me. So I got out some fun tools to jazz it up.
*Dimesnional Alphabet
*Sponge Dauber
*Desert Sand Ink
*Finishing Files
I Loved the way it turned out and love that it was something simple and easy to just jazz it up!
Here is the layout completed with journaling and the dimension:

Zippiddee....
It's a Zippidee do da DAY!!!!! I am looking forward to Scrap N Play tonight! I love seeing my scrapping friends!!! We are playing with the Zippidee papers- so fun!!!! It is a great versatile paper pack- gender neutral and full of lots of fun or tone it down using the bamboo colors if you like more subdued tones!
Here is my version of the first layout we are making tonight. It worked great with this set of pictures from our last trip to Disney in '08. Josh was selected to be the "Stunt" guy in the Pearl Harbor Movie Set. I don't think they prepared him enough for how wet he was going to get! :-) I modified my title a little from the directions in the kit and I added a flip flap so I could add one more picture and a journaling spot! Love these little buggers!
Enjoy and hope you have a Zippidee Do Da Day TOO!!!!!

Techniques Anyone???
For convention the Scattered Hearts Team had an 9x9 Page Swap. We were to create a layout in the 9x9 size using the You Rock Paper Collection. We were broken into groups and made 13 layouts each. 12 of them we would swap amongst our group and the 13th was collected to give to Jeanette Lynton as a gift.
I love creating and sharing as you learn so much from others work. Plus the BONUS is I will have 12 double layouts all set and ready for me to add photos from my time at Convention- Woo-HOO!!!
I had fun using a couple of techniques to make these pages. For the white 9x9 cardstock I took our Texture Tools and used the Black Stubble Tool to create the swirled circles. It is really simple- just load the black stubble tool in the ink color of your choice(I used pansy purple) and then with a forceful circular motion twist the color on your paper. SO FUN!
Next I used the Puddle Pad Technique to create the tye-died look with the stamp images. Have you tried this yet? I love the great tutorial we have on Art and Soul TV. If you are not checking these episodes out you really should add them to your must see tv! The technique training and product knowledge ROCK! Click here to watch this great episode and then try it for yourself! YOU WILL LOVE it- promise!
And then I had to add some shimmer and sparkle to my pages and our new Glitz Stardust Glitter Glue was PERFECT! In just one step I simply squeezed and applied the glue where I wanted, set it aside to dry(it does take a bit) and then enjoyed the fun sparkle and embellishment it created! Easy Peasy!
and here is some sad news....The 9x9 format offered by Close To My Heart will be retiring. So if you are like me and LOVE scrapping in this format be sure to stock up on page protectors and albums before they are gone! The simply snapshots will be retiring as well and are discounted so snag those while you can! I was secretly hoping that they would announce something at Convention to replace the Simply Snapshots but they let us know that the 9x9 and 6x6 sizes are retiring. :-( So here is your enabler telling you- gotta get them while you can!!! I know I will be making an order ASAP!

Studio Layouts....
Are you like me? Do you have photos you need to print and everytime you think about ordering you are not sure which photos you want and if you want them in a bigger size??? I have been having so much fun playing and creating Studio designed layouts that I had to share!
(and just a reminder to my team members if you have a Tier II website...go explore the FUN! and let me know what you think!)
So here is the deal- I LOVE IT! I cannot wait to get my layouts back from the Studio Printers! I have seen some printed examples and the professional quality is fabulous! I was not sure if I would be converted but I love the way CTMH has put their Studio Scrapbooking together because it uses their Faster, Simpler, Easier system that I love. And I am excited too that when my layouts come in if I want to add some dimension to them I can and the colors will match 100% because of CTMH's stedfast commitment to our 60 color palette and everything dye lot to match! No guess work. No wondering if that is the right shade of red or if it has too much orange in it!
feel free to click on a picture to see it bigger...

And here is another fun trick...you can use this awesome site to design your Scrapbook layouts. So you know exactly what pictures you need to print and what size and what paper packs you would like to use. AHHH.....life made easier!
Want more info...visit my website and www.studioj.com
Studio J will be released some time in the Spring but if you want to be a part of the fun and use it now while it is in Beta Testing- I would love to have you join my team and I will get you hooked!
